We believe in music as a tool for social transformation that generates opportunities for the future.

PROJECTS

Open Arms

The Primavera Sound Foundation joins forces with Open Arms, supporting their actions and creating an educational programme for schools on values and human rights. Whilst, at the same time, working with the countries of origin to offer useful tools for personal development, always hand in hand with musical and awareness-raising proposals.

BeatSchool

BeatSchool is a project developed at the Institut Escola La Mina, which aims to bring students closer to the intricacies of music as a creative act connected to the current technological reality using a simple and stimulating methodology. The basis of BeatSchool lies in learning how to use a digital audio workstation, a tool that allows the participants in the project to familiarise themselves with musical creation. The process of accompanying the students enhances and stimulates their skills, encouraging the desire to work in a team, to express emotions and to find their own voices.

Create your own festival

A music festival is an inspiration on different levels, both artistic and cultural. And inspiration can also come from behind the scenes. That spark is what the students who are taking part in Create your own festival, an initiative of Primavera Sound in collaboration with three secondary schools in Barcelona to train the next generation of the music industry, have begun to feel. After last year’s successful pilot at the Barri Besòs Secondary School, this year’s programme includes students from the Vall d’Hebron Secondary School and the Institute of Audio-visual and Performance Techniques of Barcelona, with the support of the Barcelona Education Consortium.

Invisible Cities

An invitation to look at and to see everything that escapes us. Each year, Invisible Cities focuses on a different group, gradually expanding its scope of action. In 2023, the issue that drove the actions of this initiative was that of migrants, both those who are under the guardianship of the administrations and those who have reached the age of majority.

Primaveres Experiències

Free cycle for students in the 1st and 2nd years of the baccalaureate that puts them in contact with different professionals from the world of music who share their professional experience with them. In this way, music is vindicated as a space for meeting and exchange beyond artistic talent: perhaps not everyone knows how to write a song, but everyone is welcome in the conversation that is generated around it.
